When I heard that we were going to this spot, I had a few things in mind: get a tan, shoot photos, and enjoy it. For the most part, I succeeded (the tan turned to burn.) But when you go to these kinda spots, its hard not to enjoy it. The surroundings are naturally entertaining and like us, you can explore for days. We took a hefty one hour hike back and forth to the spot, while checking out some dope huts on the way, some of which look like they could have taken some serious landscaping to complete. As you might be able to tell, the spot itself is extremely rusty and crusty. Before we could actually skate it, we took the time to smooth some of it out and create some additions to help the skateability of the spot (if that's even a word.) After the renovations were finished, the skating went on for hours. Everyone enjoyed it and got a trick or two to add to their collection. The only unlucky duckling was Issey who's board gravitated to the water all of the time; at a certain point, you just get to exhausted to chase after it. After battling with the spot, he got his trick, and we left feeling accomplished. Adventures are like candy, enjoy em while you can.
